High Achievers Have Larger Vision

“The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.”

Michelangelo

High achievers have larger visions, and that comes from setting goals. By having goals, by staying focused on the goals you will be amazed  at what you can achieve.

You may ask: “But what if I don’t reach my goal”?  Don’t let fear stop you!

Even if you don’t reach your goal, by simply having a goal, you will strive toward it, and life will start to present new opportunities; whereas if you don’t have a goal, there is nothing to reach for  and you will not have progress.

You may say you want to be a millionaire. Get started. Make a plan and start saving NOW.  If you only make it to $500,000.00, you are still ahead $500,000.00. The alternative is you never got started and have zero.  It happens; it is your choice, don’t let it happen to you.

The greater danger is to set a goal too low and reach it, rather than set the goal too high and not reach it.

I have set goaIs for as long as I can remember. When I see I am near reaching a goal, my difficulty is changing the goal so that I must reach even higher. For example with a financial goal, once I have a number in my head the challenge for me is not reaching the goal but raising it.

Action Steps:

  • If you haven’t already written your goals, write them down and make them specific.
  • If you have already written your goals, take time to review them and make sure they are explicitly written.  When your goals are too general, it may become easy to become unfocused.
  • Now just watch for all the opportunities that present themselves, give gratitude, and act on them.  Remember the “universe” likes speed.
