Reading Pet Food Reviews Can Be Helpful!
Bravo! – to Solid Gold Northland’s Pet Product Review Team. On June 1st, 2013 we invited a group of Twin Cities pet owners to come our warehouse to pickup free products for their dogs and cats. Each team went home with a case of Solid Gold grain- free dog and/or cat canned foods. The instructions to the teams were to feed the new foods to their pets over the next 30 days and then summit feedback of their experience at the end of the month.
Our goal each month is to do more than a “taste test.” We want each review team to go home with enough product to experience the product and be able to provide feedback on palatability, digestibility, allergy responses, skin & coat changes and more.
First off it was very fun for our staff to give away free cases of pet food! We guessed the pet’s were going to have great fun eating the new and healthy foods in the month of June. The team reviews confirmed our “guess” correct – both the pet’s and their people had fun and loved the new foods.
As wholesale distributors, we do not get to interact with the pet owners every day. We decided putting together a pet product review team would be a great way to work closely with a consistent group of pet owners. We are able to share new products and our nutritional expertise and receive valuable feedback from pets and their people as to what is important to them when feeding their pets and address health challenges.
The reviewers also provide a valuable service to fellow pet owners. The reviews provided are posted on our website and provide helpful information to others considering a product for their own pet.

Our next product review product pick up is scheduled for Saturday July 6, 2013. We will be reviewing two product this month (both are formulated for dogs and cats): Vital Essentials Toppers & Steve’s Real Food Yogurt! – The yogurt arrived special delivery today for the review team
